Time is Limited

When someone would ask me, "What do you like to do in your free time?" I used to respond with "Free time, what's that?" I don't say that any more.

Time is something that we all have a limited amount of it, and no matter what, you can never, ever, make more of it. That being true, what you can do is make the best use of the time that you do have. Something that I have recently become quite adept at.

It's about your definition of free time, and what you expect to get out of it. Free time, or recreation, should refresh you, recharge your batteries. While having too much can be exhausting, not having any at all will run you dry. My definition of free time used to be very narrow, defined simply as being at home, with no other responsibilities. Time I could use to do anything I want with. This is also why I didn't have any "free time" as I would have called it.

Further examination found that while I did not have what fit my narrow definition, I had quite a bit of unclaimed down time. An hour commute into the office and then an hour again in leaving the office. Bits and pieces of time spent waiting in the car for people, ten minutes here, a half hour there. It all adds up, and I learned how to use that down time to get things that I wanted to accomplish done.

Free time. My definition expanded, and I have it again.

Consolidation and Configuration

Removed the other defunct blogs I had on here. I'll be working on this one specifically. Going to try to be a bit more diligent about using it.

Next up, I'll be trying to find a better template, and fleshing out my profile a bit more.
